Phish – Greatest Hits In Chicago

The boys really kicked Summer Tour 2010 off with a bang last night, offering up a greatest hits-filled show in Chicago. This has to be the most exciting tour opener of any Phish 2.0 or 3.0 trek, and arguably one of the tightest and best played. The show focused on older material with big jam vehicles DWD, Possum, Reba, Divided Sky, and David Bowie all appearing in the 1st set! The 2nd set also started with a full on blitz of two jam sandwiches of Light->Maze, and Ghost -> Limb by Limb.

The second set then slowed down a bit with a sweet Prince Caspian followed by an always welcome Horse-> Silent. To cap things off, a fun and explorative Antelope closed out the set but not before the Band offered their first debut of the tour – Trey and The Dude of Life’s newly penned ‘Show of Life’ that was first played on the recent TAB Band Tour. A one-two punch encore of Cavern and Julius ended things on a rocking high note – hopefully a theme that will continue tonight at Blossom and throughout the tour!
