NYC Weekend Music Round Up

This weekend in NYC there’s a spattering of good music to be seen as we celebrate May day and the summer to come:

Friday 5/1/09: Future Rock @ Le Poission Rouge, The Machine @ Symphony Space (full rendition of Dark Side of theMoon featuring the 100-person Bergen Youth Symphony Orchestra)

Saturday 5/2/09: Badfish @ B.B. King Blues Club, Sphongle @ The Filmore at Irving Plaza

Elsewhere, in the city of brotherly love, The Dead will do 2 nights at The Spectrum. This is a historic event as it is likely the Dead’s last tour, last stop in Philly, and defenitely the last stop at the Spectrum which will be taken down in the coming months. Look for updates and a full review of the saturday show in the coming days.
