With many big acts announcing summer dates, and festival lineup announcement galore, everybody’s wondering what’s going on in the Phish camp for summer this year? All talk seems to be pointing to an East Coast/Midwest leg in early June and West Coast/CO leg in late July and August, very similar to last summer’s arrangment. Unlike last year, when very solid rumors and inside sources everywhere were confirming summer plans MONTHS in advance, these dates seem to be based mostly on venue holds, hearsay, and PT blotter, but they are the most realistic seeming dates circulating thus far. In terms of when an announcement will take place, the smart money is on the weeks following Mike Gordon’s upcoming solo tour (March 5th-March 14th ). Whatever ends up happening, spring is in the air and we’re not much more than 90 days away (if that!) from Summer Phish – so… set the gear shift for the high gear of your soul, and get ready to rage!

Um… South Park Meadows has been gone since about 2000. No good place in Austin to see a big show other than Austin City Limits.

These look a lot more realistic than the previous version that made the rounds elsewhere with about 900 dates in NY/NJ.
The Cubs play a 1:00 game on Sunday, May 30th. Would a day and a half be enough time to prep the field and load in all the gear required for a concert? Does a Tuesday night show make sense for Wrigleyville?
Also, double dates at Alpine Valley would be great for the midwest, but would Phish really do that kind of return visit? Those seem more like holds where they would choose one not both.
Would certainly be a lot of fun though.

4 nights in deer creek? 2 in june 2 in august? bullshit. these dates are wack. if anything on august 9+10 they’ll be doing a festival in Telluride

No chance st louis gets stops on both legs, I doubt they play at riverport on august 7th, that’s a bad venue for the band. The lots would be swamped with police writing tickets. Not to mention it would be 100degrees and humid out there.

two times at Deer Creek and Alpine? no Telluride? suspect.

These dates are getting closer, but still off by degrees. I am an event photographer in Telluride, Colorado, where the process for approving Phish’s August dates in Town Park became the stuff of fact not fiction over two weeks ago now. The second of three critical board meetings was held on Wednesday, March 3rd, and approval was granted for the addition of Phish’s August 9th and 10th dates to the town’s special events calendar. One meeting to go…

I’m pretty sure that “second leg” is just someone copying the summer 97 tour, minus ventura.

[…] news makes the Leg 2 Summer Tour dates that were posted here and elsewhere seem less likely. There has also been talk of Phish headlining The Mile High Music […]

Just confirmed permits have been submitted for Loring Airforce Base Limestone ME. Late Aug. 27/28/29
The town is already asking for volunteers from the towns folk for a large 3 day concert. Hummmmm.. I wonder who that could be!

Seriously! You cant make a statement like that and not back it up! I know there has to be something after Jones beach on the east coast but they need a lot of time to set up a whole festival in Limestone. I am not saying it isn’t possible, and I hope it is true but I don’t believe it yet.
